Last week, a guy named all99Kyle posted a comment on my post that I was leaving Corporate America:
Well, on his blog he just posted the coolest story ever about how he’s now quit his job to pursue his own pursuits. My buddy from Miami is moving to Poland with me and quit his job…so either I’m a great motivator, or a really fucking terrible influence.
Let’s go with the first.
In any case, you should go read the whole article here, but I’ll leave you with a quote.
Each of us has such a bank. Its name is time. Every morning, you are granted with 86,400 seconds. Every night, it writes off as lost, and any second you have failed to invest to a good purpose will be lost forever. It carries over no balance….EACH DAY, it opens a new account for you….and each night, it burns the remains of the day. If you FAIL to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours. There is no drawing against “tomorrow” You MUST live in the present on TODAY’S deposits.
Congrats to him. Definitely a little more of an extreme way of doing it than I took (having just 1k in the bank would scare the shit out of me!), but props to Kyle for having the balls to go after what he wants.
I just released a free self-improvement Ebook (~5,000 words) and start going after what you want. Just like Kyle did. Go here.
