Panamanian women don’t get a lot of love around these parts. Most consider the girls in Panama to be far inferior to their counterparts down south (see for yourself here).

No one claims Panamanian girls can compete with the likes of Venezuelans or Colombians. Most don’t even consider the girls in Panama to be as attractive as other women in Central America.

Sure, Panamanian women look better than the ones from Guatemala and Nicaragua, but that’s not saying much. Most travelers consider Ticas and the women in El Salvador better than the ones in Panama.

Sadly, that’s just not true. The women in Panama City are some of the best in Latin America.

You just need to know where to find them. That’s where I come in. After spending months in this small Central American country, I figured out the lay of the land and layed a few of these sexy chicas.

What Are Panamanian Women Like?

On average, I’d describe the women in Panama to look like classic Latinas. I’m talking dark, tanned skin and long black hair down to their ass cracks. I’m talking shorter girls with nice curves and big brown eyes.

From a demographics standpoint, the women in Panama are generally Mestizas. This means they’re mixed with Native Indian and White genes. This produces the darker skin and hair while still having the stunning European facial features.

Over 65% of Panamanians are Mestizos. 10% of the country is black, while around 15% of Panamanian girls are completely white.

These numbers should give you an idea of what Panamanian women will look like. You can expect more women with light complexion in Panama City, while Atlantic coast cities and towns will feature more dark skinned girls.

Basically, you can find any and every skin tone of women in Panama—outside of pasty girls who look like they’re from Ukraine. This isn’t the Dominican Republic where most girls will be darker.

From a personality perspective, I wasn’t able to discern too many common traits between girls. I didn’t find the women here flakey like Colombian girls. Most of the commonalities came from social class.

The upper-class girls spoke great English, while the poorer women didn’t. Some middle-class chicks did speak English because they worked in tourism. Still, I’d suggest learning a little Spanish before you go.

The more Spanish you know the easier it will be to meet girls in Panama. While Panama City is an international city, the country still speaks Spanish.

Another benefit of learning Spanish is you look less like a sex tourist, which is a huge deal when trying to date the upper-class chicks.

Panama City: The Absolute Best City to Meet Panamanian Girls

If you want to date Panamanian women, then there’s only one city to visit:

Panama City, Panama.

The capital of this small country is simply the only city with a large enough population to make meeting women easy.

There isn’t even a city in the country that has over 100,000 people when excluding metro areas and the greater Panama City metro area.

If you want girls in Panama, the capital is your only option. Panama City, or PTY, is one of the biggest cities in Central America. It’s also the nicest and filled with every modern convenience one could think of.

While cost of living is high in PTY, the city offers one of the highest standard of living in all of Latin America, right up there with Chile. Don’t come here if you’re a broke backpacker. Come here if you want to date Latinas in a safe, relaxed city.

There’s around 1 million people living in Panama City, Panama but the city feels much bigger due to the sizable expat population, backpackers, and all the Venezuelans living there now. This is a big city.

With lodging, you can stay in a few different areas. I found the absolute best areas to stay are:

• Marbella
• Casco Viejo
• Obarrio / El Cangrejo

Marbella is one of the nicest areas in all of Panama. The small neighborhood is right next to the Hard Rock Hotel and within walking distance to a number of bars, clubs, and restaurants. If you can afford it, stay here.

If you enjoy colonial architecture, then Casco Viejo is another great area with solid logistics. There’s many bars and clubs here, too. My problem with this area is the high number of backpackers and hookers found here.

If budget is a concern, then Obarrio or El Cangrejo are solid neighborhoods. They’re not cheap, but still a little less expensive than Marbella and with good logistics.

Panama has a good economy, so I don’t recommend staying in cheap lodging if you want to date quality women here. The middle and upper-class girls will not be impressed with your shithole hotel or hostel.

Other Cities in Panama

There are no other cities in Panama that are great for dating. If you want to visit a few others, here are three I recommend:

• David: Second largest city in Panama and some decently attractive women. In the mountains, but close to the beach. This isn’t a bad city to spend a week or two when you get bored with big city living.
• Colon: Caribbean port city. Not a bad place to spend a weekend, as it’s easy to get to from PTY. Quality of women here isn’t great.
• Bocas del Toro: Beach town filled with backpacker nightlife and European girls. If you’re young, this isn’t a bad spot. However, Bocas is pricey, especially in high season.

The Ultimate Guide to Meeting Girls in Panama

Now we’re getting to the good stuff. If you want to meet, greet, and seduce Panamanian women, then you’re in the perfect place. Below you’ll find everything you need to know to get laid in this country.

Here’s how it’s done:

#1: Online Dating in Panama

The easiest way to get laid in Panama is with online dating. PTY is a big city and there’s lot of single girls using online dating sites and apps to meet men, especially foreigners.

If you’re over the age of 25, I’d recommend using Latin American Cupid.

There’s 300+ new women on the site every week in Panama City between the ages of 18-32 and many of them are cute. Age won’t matter to them much, so this is a great place for men in their 30s to look.

Tinder is another great option in Panama. There’s a solid amount of women on the site in PTY. This is the best option for younger guys, although I’d recommend any traveler try it while in the country.

Finally, you can also try the site Amo Latina.

One thing to note:

Always ask girls in Panama what they do for work or if they study. Since there are many hookers in Panama City, you’ll want to have a clear idea of her job. If not, you may waste a lot of time talking with a hooker. Or worse, you might end up banging a hooker who wants money after the deed is already done. And, with all of the problems that are currently prevalent in Venezuela, more and more working girls are flocking to places like Panama City in search of a better life.

I can hardly blame them, but it does put a bit of a damper on the dating scene, and it’s best to just get it out of the way, up front, by asking a simple question about her life.

If she dodges your questions, dodge her.

#2: Day Game in Panama City, Panama

Panama City is hot and tropical. You don’t want to be walking around all day in the heat. You’ll sweat way too much. As such, most of the day game spots are centered around the malls.

The best malls to meet women at include:

• Multiplaza
• Albrook Mall

If you don’t like malls, you may find a few women walking around Casco Viejo during the day.

The malecon can be decent, too. Many girls walk and jog along the path here, but I found it to be hit or miss. Being in workout clothes would make your malecon approaches a lot smoother.

#3: Nightlife in Panama City, Panama

In my opinion, the nightlife in Panama City is a tough nut to crack.

The main issue is prostitution.

As sex tourism is rampant in PTY, any girl that goes out alone or with just one “friend” should be considered a working girl.

As well, most upper-class chicks go out in huge groups and don’t appreciate being approached by random foreigners with bad Spanish. The combination of these factors make things pretty tough without a high level of game and Spanish ability.

Still, the nightlife here can be decent if you find the right spots. Here are a few of my favorites:

• Relic Bar: Kind of a backpacker spot in Casco Viejo. Great if it gets crowded, but that can be hit or miss. Lots of Panamanian English speakers.
• Bling: This is a big club in the Hard Rock Hotel. It’s a high-end place and not a place to roll solo. Come with a few friends or a date. There’s also a rooftop bar here that’s pretty fun. Prices are high and hookers often around.
• La Tana: My favorite club in PTY right now. Come here if you want to meet high-end chicks. Spanish and bankroll seems to be a requirement here.

Panamanian Girls Tips and Tricks

While I’d love to say you need a ton of tricks and tips to meet women in Panama, that’s not the case.

If you know how to game Latinas, you’ll do fine here.

If you’re new to Latin America, PTY can be frustrating.

The main issues are the high costs and all the Venezuelan prostitutes. You really have to screen girls hard to make sure they have real jobs and won’t try to charge you once the deed it done. If you can do that, then PTY can be a player’s paradise.

Screening often requires Spanish here. I’ve said it before, but make sure you learn a little before you arrive. If you don’t, you’ll certainly end up wasting time with girls who are only after your pocketbook.
