Monday Memories from Budapest
I’m writing this post from my apartment in Budapest. It’s been a hell of a weekend.
Which, as you know, I consider to be the best decision of my life.
It’s always interesting to return to places you’ve been before. When I went to Wroclaw this year, I was simply flooded with happy memories.
The same held true here. Budapest was my first real “game trip” and it really shaped my decision to move abroad. Those ten days were so spectacular, out of control, and just happy, that I knew I needed to make it my full-time life instead of a once a year excursion.
These days, I’m definitely not maintaining the stamina I used to—but that doesn’t matter.
The point is, I can look back at where I was two years ago when I was in Budapest, and see how drastically my life has changed. A friend recently told me to stop comparing myself to others. To just compare to myself on a year-by-year basis.
Well, if you look at the two year timeline, things have changed. A lot.
When this post goes live I’ll be on a train again. Heading somewhere else to make more memories.
It’s never too late, and don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise.
