Entrepreneur Dreams: Is There Ever A Good Time?
One of the questions I’m now asked the most is when someone should take the leap of faith. I wish there was a good black and white answer to this question, but there’s just not. Every situation, person, and life is different. To give a linear answer would be doing a disservice. Instead, I think it’s important to take into account many factors before making such a large decision.
The first question is to ask yourself how much you truly hate your job. Is it a scenario where it’s having an impact on your health? This could be anywhere from arthritis from sitting all day to contemplating suicide. It’s quite the spectrum. How much longer can you last at your job before you make the leap; off the building, not into entrepreneurship.
If the answer is “not long”, well, you’ve got work to do. You’ll be best off tackling jobs that pay you by your work, instead of passive income systems. There’s nothing wrong with it, but you must realize that you’re simply still working for someone else, albeit with your name on the company. It also comes with a lot more responsibility. Of course, the goal is to build passive streams of income that work for you. Something that gains in value over time and provides you with the financial means to live your life.
Where are you now and where do you want to go?
