Buff For Budapest, Steak & Eggs Week 3 – Another 5 Pounds

Overall, I’m happy with the results of the third week of eating (mostly) steak and eggs in preparation for my upcoming trip to Budapest. Just a few notes: I bought a new scale this week which seems to be off by about 5 pounds or so in comparison to both my gym’s scale as well as the two scales at work (one digital, one analog). Other note: I skipped workouts on Thursday and Sunday. And unfortunately Sunday’s cheat day rolled into today (3/23, Monday) and I skipped the gym as well, so I’m way behind this week already.

Sunday

At Jeremy’s house for a night of partying, didn’t weigh in.

  • Panera Bread Bowl
  • Skipped dinner

Monday

187 lbs (got a new scale, using the one from this post at work I was 183)

  • Steak chili
  • 1.5 chicken breasts
  • 3 eggs

Tuesday

186 lbs

  • 1 chicken breast with guac
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 6 pieces bacon
  • Guacamole
  • 2 eggs

Wednesday

184 lbs

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 3 eggs
  • Steak tacos (just meat/salsa, ate one corn tortilla @ 12g carbs)
  • 4 margaritas
  • 1 shot of Don Julio 1942

Thursday

184 lbs

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 cup chicken soup with veggies
  • 3 hard boiled eggs
  • 3/4 lb ground beef w/ taco seasoning
  • Guacamole with the beef
  • 6 pieces bacon

Friday

185 lbs

  • 3/4 pound ground beef w/ taco season
  • Guacamole with the beef
  • 1/2 pound ground beef w/ BBQ sauce

Saturday

183 lbs

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 pound ground beef w/ bbq
  • .75 lbs tri-tip with salad

Sunday

182 lbs

  • A lot of beer
  • Pulled pork fries
  • A massive sandwich
  • Many Gatorades
  • Chinese food (chowmein, sesame chicken, chef’s filet)
