A Girl Wrote About Me On Her Blog

Well, not before she found my blog first.  Whoops.  Note to self: never challenge a girl whether or not she can find something on the Internet.  You will likely lose.  Girls are cunning.  It doesn’t help when you’ve accidentally forgotten to unlink your Twitter handle (with your real name) to your blog.

Anyway, she found my blog (hey, babe!) and eventually I convinced her to let me see hers after she told me she wrote about me.  I’ll keep her blog link to myself for her privacy, but I am going to discuss what she wrote, which is…

I’ve been talking to a guy for the past two months and I can’t even decide why I’m into him. We don’t share the same faith, he seems to have no want or need for commitment which kind of freaks me out, and I’m constantly questioning if he actually likes me. I’ve always wanted to be the kind of girl that’s set apart from the rest, but now I’m starting to think my efforts aren’t doing me any good. I’m on a road and I can’t see the end of it. I’m going into this blindly and not knowing whether the outcome will be good or bad. It’s not easy.

Now, the breakdown:

I’ve been talking to a guy for the past two months and I can’t even decide why I’m into him.

This is something that I didn’t understand for such a long time.  Girls don’t want to know everything about you.  They want fun, mystery, etc.  Perfect example is when, like above, she can’t figure out why I’m into her.  Am I nice to her?  Sometimes.  Am I a total dick at others?  Yep.  So it’s not because I’m nice.  Is it because I turn her on?  Well, a girl would never admit that to herself.

She’s into me because she can’t decide why she’s into me.

We don’t share the same faith

Faith is one of the most overrated things for compatibility in a relationship.  You’ve got her, the good Christian girl, and then me, who routinely makes jokes about what a bastard “God” is and generally takes an agnostic approach to religion.

What girl really wants a boring Christian guy who doesn’t make her panties wet?  Religion is a myth.  It’s all about biological urges, and those override the prods of theoretical high powers.

he seems to have no want or need for commitment which kind of freaks me out

Because most guys are clamoring for commitment and all too willing to give up the variety of single life and fresh kitty.  She reads this blog and knows I have options.  A girl loves a man who could cheat, if they were together.

I’m constantly questioning if he actually likes me

I’m going to direct this directly at her because I know she’ll read it.

You should be.  You should always bring your best effort with me.  Anything less is not acceptable.

I’ve always wanted to be the kind of girl that’s set apart from the rest, but now I’m starting to think my efforts aren’t doing me any good.

See, this is the kind of cute, naiveness, and insecurity that guys actually like.  Enough of this bullshit playing hard to get and head games that girls put up.  Being a little vulnerable is cute.

I’m going into this blindly and not knowing whether the outcome will be good or bad. It’s not easy.

But it’s exciting; and that’s catnip for the kitty.

  • I love the honesty you have written with here, not caring who you offend & just being you! Massive respect. With my experience of men, it’s very hard to find! Good for you 🙂

    • Thank you for the comment, and compliment! If you like the brutal honesty check out some of the posts at vivalamanosphere.com for guys with similar outlooks.

A lot of them seem to be awfully bitter towards the world though, and I’m really not. I’m just a guy who was lucky enough to figure this stuff out at a young age and didn’t scar me for life.

      • I will have a look, it always interests me what goes on in the heads of you men!! You’re a confusing species!!

I will definitely be following you & look forward to reading more of your posts!!

      • It’s actually quite easy to decode us. We’re all very shallow with looks, and the more feminine, the better.

Keep in mind this applies to men who are strong/alpha…you can find a “nice” guy but we both know you find them boring, right? 🙂

      • Oh yeah, in no way am I stupid or naive enough to go round giving it the ‘I just want a nice guy’. That’d be a downright lie! :p

I think I’m a lot better at the decoding game than I used to be but I still have lots to learn.

      • Blogs like mine and those on my blogroll are a great place to start.

I just think we’re all animals who want to fuck. We’re not much evolved past monkeys.

      • I totally agree. Women are just too worried about being judged to be as open about it as men!

  • The girl who found the blog. says:

I think you (surprisingly) accurately dissected/explained the post despite the nonsense of it all. So props to you 🙂 Obviously I still have my arguments, but this didn’t make me mad like I thought. I think we agree on stuff a lot more than you think.

  • Oops! I bet that was an interesting conversation when she found out. I find it odd that a girl would go for a guy she knows would cheat. Fascinating to read about though.

  • […] can be seen mentioned in previous posts as the girl who found the blog, and the girl who made her own blog post regarding the man you all know as “Trouble Maker”.  On my last visit with him we thought it […]
